A Simple Exercise for Dealing with the World

2/15/2021

Close your eyes, ground and run energy for as little or as long as you like.

Create a rose representing you. Create a rose nearby for the rest of the world and all it's troubles.

Separate the energies: use the world rose to pull everyone else's energies and issues out of your space (by pulling it out of the rose for you).

Let your rose call your own energy back to you from the world rose.

Notice how your rose looks now. Give it a gold sun. Get rid of both roses in the usual way.
Give yourself a gold sun or two. How do you feel?

Say hello to being you, in a cleaner more productive relationship with everything else!

7 More Tips for Making Meditation Easier

For students of our classes:

Some more ideas for making your running energy sessions more enjoyable and fruitful.

  1. Get your body on board--do some quick stretches beforehand.
  2. Just ground and run earth energy for a while.
  3. Create a rose for your meditation space; ground and clean it out. Especially take out the guilt and serious energy!
  4. Listen to guided audio to keep you on track (see our new Audio Offerings web page; more audio exercises will be added soon).
  5. Run energy longer, until you get the satisfaction of starting to arrive.
  6. Listen to some music when you start. (Nothing too jarring. I'd avoid music with words--it can distract you. Similarly, I wouldn't recommend ethereal, new age music--it can get you ungrounded.)
  7. Make it interesting--include something new each time: a new center to work on, a new topic to look at, a part of the body to say hello to.
Here's another idea--come to the Making Meditation Fun workshop! (Or purchase the audio from it--see the "Audio Offerings" page.)

14 Tips for Making Meditation Easier

When It's Hard to Get Started....

We've all been there--you go to meditate/run energy, but nothing seems to work. You can't sit still, can't get grounded and your thoughts are all over the place. You just can't seem to get started, and it feels pointless.

What to do? You know meditating is a good idea, but it's just not working. Well, here are a few tips for you. Find one or two you like, and give them a try!

First of all--just do it anyway! Keep going, despite how futile it feels. You're experiencing what the body and what the mind interprets as nothing happening. On an energy level, you may be making more progress than you recognize!

Sometimes the first stuff that starts moving is that resistance, invalidation and numbness, and as you move it out, your body and mind "experience" it. When you're done, even if you've not reached a place of calm or flow, you may discover you still feel better and more energized. It worked!

Now, in no special order, here are some more tips for when it's tough going:

  1. Just keep going anyway (see above).
  2. Blow roses--for no particular reason.
  3. Take a deep breath.
  4. Amplify that "I don't want to" feeling until it becomes humorous.
  5. Identify where in your body (or aura) that "I don't want to" energy is; say hello to it, ground it, move it out.
  6. Give yourself a pep talk.
  7. Plan a reward for yourself afterwards.
  8. Ground your body as if you were five feet away.
  9. Get a running energy buddy: do it at the same time; or just text each other when you start and end.
  10. Create tiny roses and use them to clean out the energy channels.
  11. Meditate listening to a guided running energy exercise (we have them available).
  12. Create a soft rose and massage the back of your head and neck with it.
  13. Blow up pictures of how it's supposed to feel or be.
  14. Get a running energy checkup--during the Wed. Healing Clinic or some other time.

Perhaps you have something that's worked for you? Feel free to share.

We'll have another list of tips for you soon (maybe next week!).
